2024 ParkVentures Grant Recipent!
The EcoLogik Institute has received a 2024 grant from the National Park Foundation’s ParkVentures program to support the EcoLogik Leadership Academy.
The EcoLogik Leadership Academy, one of three strategic pillars of the EcoLogik Institute, is an expansion from our successful summer experience that connects female and female-identifying youth to the natural resources, recreational spaces, and science of America's National Parks. Our programs use a multidisciplinary approach to make technology and nature more accessible to students from historically excluded communities, inspiring them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The EcoLogik Leadership Academy creates a continuum of support for the young women who have participated in the EcoLogik summer program by offering ongoing outdoor learning and female mentorship opportunities, community engagement training and career development, and an immersive conservation and environmental stewardship apprenticeship with their national park.
The National Park Foundation’s ParkVentures program awards grants to equity-focused outdoor leaders and organizations for projects and activities that promote access, eliminate barriers, and offer positive, memorable experiences to engage individuals and communities that have historically been excluded from national parks and outdoor recreation. The program’s ultimate goal is to help people create and strengthen life-long relationships with national parks.
The EcoLogik Institute team is beyond grateful to the support of the National Park Foundation with this opportunity.
