On November 3rd, Balboa Park came alive with creativity during the Youth Artist Showcase. I was honored to serve as the Master of Ceremonies and performed with my quartet, Killing Contemporary, which is part of the Mainly Mozart organization. The event also featured an amazing performance by the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet and displayed incredible artwork created by talented young artists.

STEMs, Buds & Blooms is a recurring interview series based on learning about the women in STEM and their lives outside of it. These field notes aim to expand the idea of the woman in stem by spotlighting community & opportunity alongside achievements in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, and give our readers broader space to imagine their future.

On Saturday, November 9th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park, the EcoLogik Institute is excited to launch its workshop series in collaboration with BEWISE. The STEAM Studio workshop, made possible through funding from Forever Balboa Park, will focus on the art of storytelling through the dynamic medium of COMICS! Participants will delve into various conservation themes related to Balboa Park and receive a customized educational tutorial on comic creation from our esteemed partner, Little Fish Studio.
