STEMs, Buds & Blooms is a recurring interview series based on learning about the women in STEM and their lives outside of it. In September 2024, apprentice Claire W. and I got the opportunity and privilege to speak to the Environmental Educator Leaders Network (EELN) about the EcoLogik Institute. In this blog, I’m going to share my experience and what the EELN network is. While I taught the EELN network all about Ecologik, I also learned quite a bit about what a strong speech looks like.

We’re honored to announce that we’ve been chosen for the Youth Workforce Grant Program! 🎉This opportunity will allow the EcoLogik Institute to continue our work on diversity, equity, and creating meaningful pathways for young people to succeed in STEM careers. We are grateful to be a part of this initiative that’s transforming lives here in San Diego.

The STEAM Quests, created and designed by Kiana, was a project designed to keep the Ecologik Community engaged and connected. The first quest focused on recycled art, encouraging participants to explore STEAM concepts through the creative use of recycled materials.
